My favorite Halloween memory comes from elementary school and the fantastic parades we had parading through town. The whole town came out to watch.
My first baby was BORN on Halloween. A week early. I never EVER imagined this possibility. When my water broke, I was still in denial. It was a full week before I asked my husband who the scary nurse in triage was that night. I arrived in full labor, and was rushed to a room. I'm lucky I didn't have her in the hall. Turns out that must have distracted me from the fact that the nurse was WEARING A COSTUME, I was told. Scary makeup, skeleton t-shirt. All I could remember was her scary eyes with bags under them (makeup... who knew?), and a tremendous amount of pain. If you are a nurse in triage, I suggest cute happy costumes... not things reminiscent of death. Just my thoughts.
BEST Halloween EVER! My little BOO will turn five this year.
My favorite halloween memory is of a scary haunted hallway the youth at church put together when I was little. There was a smoking cauldron, a scarecrow that came alive, and my favorite- boxes that we reached into to feel gross things like "brains" (aka spaghetti) "eyeballs" (peeled grapes), etc. Sigh Ah, good times!

All my Halloween's have morphed into one because every single stinking Halloween, my brothers and sisters would eat all their Good candy first. I ate all the crappy stuff first so that I could enjoy the good stuff into infinity. But about the third day of tripping over six kids' candy bags, my mom would get irritated and dump them all into one bin. Which meant that, in addition to eating their own "good stuff", my sibs got to eat some of MINE. NOT FAIR MOM!!!
My favorite Halloween memory is when my mom made me a giant Tweety bird costume. That woman can sew! I wish I still had it. It was a lot of fun trick or treating that year with all of my cousins.
When I was 8, people would ask what I was going to be for Halloween, I proudly responded: Baptized!
Congrats on 200 Carmie!
My favorite Halloween memory is stopping at the house in the neighborhood who's owners owned a donut company. They gave out full-size donuts! We loved it as kids!
I grew up in a neighborhood with tons of kids. We'd all trick-or-treat and then end up at a "haunted house" for a party afterwards. I'm sure it was simple, but in my memories it was incredible!
i love halloween! my favorite memory is going to the rocky horror picture show on halloween (this was when i was in high school many moons ago :-) the show was usually packed full of weirdness and crazies, but on halloween it was especially fun and insane.
thanks!

(love the turquoise photos- my favorite color.)
My favorite Halloween memory when my daughter dressed as Bob the Tomato from Veggie Tales. She was so cute and proud of her tomato! Halloween was also my grandpas birthday and I always had great memories of him on that day!
Thanks for the chance to win and congrats on 200 followers/friends!!
My favorite Halloween/costume,way back about 30 years ago,Once upon a time....no I'll spare you the long version, and jump right to the story,I dressed with several other friends for a local bar/grill costume party,I had a lady that sews in our town, make me a loose fitting black cat outfit from head to toe,my(now)husband remembers it different as a black sex kitten, this was before we were married, shucks we were not even dating,he was with someone else, yet all he remembers is what he thought was a sexy kitten,OH YEAH! I was swingn' my long black tail in his face,it's a wonder the girl he was with didn't try and whip me,hehehe.
My favorite halloween costume/memory would have to be when I was grapes. It was the best costume, I had so many purple ballons on me and most were popped by the end of the night.
My favorite halloween memory was dressing up like grizabella from Cats. I was about 8 years old and my best friend dressed up as another member of the cast with me. We sang "memory" to my parents!
My favorite Halloween memory is when I helped transform our high school gymnasium into this elaborate haunted house! The crafts department did an amazing job at this! I got to scare my unsuspected friends as they walk through the haunted maze and it was hilarious!

Favorite memory - taking my son on his first trick or treating adventure when he was just 14 months old - he was dressed as a cowboy complete with wranglers, flannel shirt, straw hat, neckerchief and toy gun. We went to just a few houses in our neighborhood before heading to his grandparents to visit.
This is a hard one as i love every halloween. This year will be fun as my niece will be here from New Zealand. Halloween is done on a small scale there, so she is planning a costume and trick or treating with my kids. Even my son is going to dress up and he hasn't done that in a few years.
Favorite memory: Taking my sons over to my Grandma's house after Trick or Treat was over. She wasn't expecting us and didn't have any candy so she was going through her cupboards and giving them anything she could find! I have it on video and I smile and think of her every time I watch it!
Actually last halloween because my husband loves it and dresses up goulishly every year. Last year we went to a friend's halloween party and helped hand out candy but we had to send him back in the house to hang out with the adults b/c he kept scaring the trick or treaters!
My favorite memory is actually more of a picture memory because I was pretty young when it was taken, so I doubt I actually REMEMBER the moment. The picture was of my brother and I as young kids dressed up. He was a ninja and I was a dancer- we didn't dress up much after that year so that's why it has always stuck in my mind. It's one of my favorite pictures of us!
Wow, there are some great Halloween memories to think about...I guess my favorite would be a party that my daughter & one of her friends had. I cannot tell you how incredible the decorations were, including the food. Lots of games, food & drink and tons of fun! I dressed up as a Fortune Teller and had my table set up in one area of the living room. I created tags with words of Halloween ~ Spooky, Eek!, Scary, etc. and attached them to tea bags that were in envelopes from the mfg. I would tell the 'clients' all positive things with fun additions. I think everyone enjoyed!
Thanks for the opportunity to win ~ this would be great.

My favorite halloween memory is when my mom let me have a huge party, except I got sick and had to cancel it...I was so sad.The next weekend she threw me a surprise "leftover halloween"party with all my friends at the skate rink!!
She said she was signing my little sister up for lessons.
Till then i didn't know moms could be tricky, but I guess halloween is the right time to find out!
My favorite Halloween memeory is of my sister and I going trick-or-treating every year until I was 13 and then I contiuned to take her around town until she was too old to trick-or-treat if there is such a thing.

My favorite Halloween memory is when I helped organize a haunted house at the place I lived on campus during college. Everyone dressed up nicely, we had fog machines and invited kids from the neighborhood. It was a really nice time. Email: yona(at)pricelesswriters.com
my favorite halloween memory is carving pumpkins- it was always a family affair. And, I hated touching the inside of a pumpkin but I loved the process of the whole thing.
My favorite memory is when my sisters and I dressed up as old women. We went to the thrift store and picked out old dresses, strapped pillows to our butts, borrowed some canes from my grandpa and put baby powder in our hair. It was amazing and SUCH a fun time. :)
My favorite Halloween memory is when my siblings and I dressed up like the Wizard of Oz. My brothers were the scarecrow, tin man, and cowardly lion. My sister was Dorothy, and I was Toto. I loved it so much, I was Toto the next year, too (even though my siblings moved on).
I think my favorite Halloween was when I was about 10. My sister and I were cats and my brother was a clown. It was my favorite just because my mom stayed up late every night for two weeks making our costumes. She NEVER did that again. I thought it was so cool to have our costumes made for us.
Every Halloween my siblings and I would dress up in homemade costumes, trick-or-trick with our cousins and then come home and dump all our candy on the floor and sort through what we wanted and didn't want. The "didn't want" pile usually included boxes of raisins and apples and these "treats" were given to our parents!

I don't know if I have one memory in particular but I know that every year after we went trick or treating my siblings and I would dump out all our candt and organize them into piles according to the candy name. Then we would procede to trade off the ones we didn't like.
When I was 7 and went trick or treating I seemed to get more money than candy. Nowadays I'd welcome that but as a kid I thought damn people are being cheap on the candy this year! :) I collected $88.50 that night from all that coins and sole dollar bills friends and family dropped into my bag that Halloween year and yes I got to get new shoes and a new doll :)

I remember the year my sister and I dressed up as princesses - but remember the hard plastic masks they used to have? The sharp eye holes and the condensation that would drip down the inside when you breathed?
My sister hated the mask and cried and cried! I hated the fact that my mom made me wear my snowsuit under my pretty princess dress!
My favorite Halloween memory is when I went trick or treating as a kid -- back when EVERYBODY was home and gave out candy. We would fill up our bags, go home and empty them and keep going. Towards the end of the night, we got cans of Coke and money when people ran out of candy!

My favorite Halloween memories are of the parades we used to have in elementary school... I loved seeing everyone else's costumes. My mother still has the pictures she took of those parades and it's funny how many of the costumes I actually still remember!
My favorite Halloween memory is from two years ago. Making s'mores out in the driveway after a Halloween party at my parents' house while my son and his cousins run around like crazy kids in the yard (in the dark)--nobody got hurt!
